Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3547

His sword's gleam split the horizon, and its cold edge sent shivers through distant lands.
Though Matthew's sword did not possess such legendary power, its brilliance still seemed to streak through the air, extending for miles in the blink of
an eye.
A flash of dazzling sword light flickered through the eyes of everyone present.
Snap!
The soldiers' rifles, once poised and ready, were now cleaved in half, their barrels clattering to the ground with crisp metallic thuds.
Brennan, who had been gloating just moments before, went pale with shock. "Who... who the hell are you?!" His voice trembled as his eyes filled with
dread.
Suddenly, a sharp sting brushed Brennan's neck. He instinctively reached up, only to feel the warm slickness of blood against his fingers.
His gaze darted toward Matthew, who still stood calmly with the ancient sword in hand—its blade seemingly untouched. Brennan's heart pounded
wildly as fear took root in his chest.
Who is this man?
Even on the largest islands, a warrior of such skill could easily claim power—so why was he here on Ore Island?
Matthew's gaze swept over the room as he spoke with icy calm. "I suggest you all put down your weapons—no, your scrap metal."
His words, delivered without a hint of urgency, sent a shudder through the gathered soldiers. A moment later, they began tossing their now-useless
guns to the ground, raising their hands above their heads and crouching down without further resistance.
Brennan's face turned ashen. The soldiers could surrender—they might still be spared. But as the leader of this uprising, Orla would never let him
live.

Desperate, Brennan glanced toward Paxton, hoping the man had some sort of plan. But to his dismay, Paxton had also dropped to his knees, hands
clasped behind his head like the others.
Brennan's expression twisted as he realized the harsh truth. Paxton's father and Orla's late father had been sworn brothers. No matter Paxton's role
in this rebellion, Orla might still spare him for the sake of their families' past bond.
But Brennan? No one would plead for his life.

Hopelessness settled over him like a suffocating shroud.
Without warning, Brennan lunged into his coat pocket and drew a pistol. "If I'm going to die, I'll take you with me!" he snarled, leveling the barrel
directly at Orla.
Madness gleamed in his eyes as his finger tightened on the trigger.
"Orla!" Olexar shouted, panic seizing his chest.
Shing!
A crisp, metallic sound rang out once more.
In an instant, Brennan's pistol was sliced cleanly in half. Before anyone could react, his body followed suit—severed down the middle by a single
stroke of Matthew's sword.
Brennan's bisected corpse collapsed to the floor, blood quickly pooling across the stone tiles of the Governor's Keep.
For a moment, no one spoke. The room was heavy with silence.
"Orla, are you all right?"
Olexar was the first to move, striding quickly to his sister's side. Brennan's lifeless body might as well have been invisible to him—his focus was solely
on her.
As she looked into her brother's eyes, filled with genuine concern, Orla's gaze softened, her years of suppressed grief surfacing.
"Olexar..."

Olexar's usually composed expression was tinged with sorrow. "I'm here now. I should've never left you for so long. But I'm back now, Orla."
He gently wrapped his arms around her, tears streaming down his face as the weight of all that had happened pressed against his heart. He could
barely imagine what Orla must have endured while he had been trapped aboard the Carnage Cruise—how she had fought to survive and protect their
family's legacy amid a den of wolves.
Matthew watched the siblings' reunion, feeling as though he should allow them their moment. Yet, after a pause, he spoke up, "I noticed something
coming over. There are more soldiers outside the Governor's Keep—at least 10,000 of them."
