Luna Aurora (Alpha Fenrir)

Chapter 61

Chapter 61
The sky above Cassian's territory darkened, the clouds heavy with the promise of rain. The air was thick with tension as the pack
gathered along the northern perimeter, their senses on high alert. Cassian stood at the forefront, his gaze fixed on the treeline
where the scouts had reported Magnus's forces were massing.
"They're close," Nathan said, his voice low but steady.
Cassian nodded, his expression grim. "Spread the warriors out. Keep the flanks covered."
Aurora watched from the safety of the healer's quarters, her heart pounding as the pack moved into position. She could see the
determination on their faces, but she could also feel their fear. These weren't just wolves-they were her friends, her newfound
family-and they were about to face a force unlike anything they'd seen before.

The first clash came suddenly, the forest erupting with snarls and howls as Magnus's forces surged forward. Wolves in Cassian's
pack braced for impact, their training turning into instinct as they met the attackers head-on.
Aurora's stomach churned as she watched the chaos unfold from a distance. Fenrir's rogues were vicious, their strikes brutal and
calculated, but it was the Lycans that sent a chill down her spine. Towering and powerful, they tore through Cassian's defenses
with ease, their strength overwhelming even the pack's best fighters.
In the midst of the battle, Cassian fought with unrelenting ferocity. His blade flashed in the dim light, cutting down any who dared
to challenge him. Nathan was at his side, their movements synchronized as they worked to keep the flanks secure.
Back at the healer's quarters, Aurora worked frantically alongside Iris and the other healers to tend to the injured as they were
brought in. Blood soaked the floor as wolves staggered through the doors, their wounds deep and grievous. "Hold still," Aurora
said, her voice trembling as she pressed a bandage to a young wolf's shoulder. His breathing was shallow, his eyes wide with
pain.
Iris appeared beside her, her hands steady as she applied a salve to another wolf's gash. "Focus on what you can do, Aurora,"
she said firmly. "One wound at a time."
Aurora nodded, swallowing her fear as she worked. The sound of the battle raged outside, every snarl and howl a reminder of
what was at stake.

At the northern edge of the territory, the fighting intensified. Cassian's pack was holding their ground, but the cost was high.
Bodies littered the battlefield, the scent of blood heavy in the air.
Cassian parried a rogue's attack, his blade slicing through his opponent with precision. But even as he fought, he could see the
toll the battle was taking. His wolves were faltering, their movements slowing as exhaustion set in. "Hold the line!" Cassian
shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos.
Nathan appeared beside him, his expression grim. "We're losing too many."
Cassian's jaw tightened. "We hold. Reinforcements are coming."
But even as he spoke, a Lycan charged through the ranks, its claws ripping through two wolves before they could react. Cassian
moved to intercept it, his blade striking true, but the creature barely flinched.
The Lycan turned its glowing eyes on him, a snarl rumbling deep in its chest. Cassian squared his shoulders, his grip tightening
on his weapon.
