"You need to slow down," her mother said gently, sitting beside her. "The Alpha can see it. Others will too, if you keep pushing
yourself like this."
"I can't stop," Aurora replied, her voice tinged with frustration. "I have to blend in. If I don't, they'll start asking questions."
"They might ask questions," Lila admitted. "But Aurora... if you push yourself too far, you'll have nothing left to give those
children."
Aurora's hand drifted to her stomach, her throat tightening. She had been so focused on hiding her pregnancy that she hadn't
stopped to think about the toll it was taking on her body.
"Your children are strong," Lila continued, her voice soft. "Stronger than you realize. But that strength comes at a cost, and you
need to take care of yourself if you're going to see them safely into this world."
Aurora nodded silently, though fear still gnawed at her. Every moment spent in this pack felt like walking a tightrope, and she
didn't know how much longer she could keep her balance.

you look tired. More than tired."
