Chapter 1205

Chapter 1205

The call was from the Sheldon family's old manor.

Whitney's face tightened immediately. She never kept in touch with the manor- no one ever called her from there.

But today was different. After eavesdropping on the scheming conversation between the old lady and Sienna Turner, Whitney had wasted no time. She'd contacted her dad's guy, Cody, and told him to plant someone inside the manor to keep an eye on Sienna.

So now, with this call coming in, something was definitely up.

"Hello?"

"Miss Whitney? Cody asked me to do something for you. It's Jane, the housekeeper at the old manor."

"I know you, Jane," Whitney said, narrowing her eyes. "What did you see?"

"Cody told me to keep an eye on Miss Sienna. This afternoon, I saw her come home with the old lady. They locked themselves in the old lady's bedroom for ages. No clue what they talked about.

When Sienna came out, she said she was heading to the Nelsons' place. I found an excuse to tag along.

But she didn't stay for dinner with the Nelsons. After chatting with Mrs. Nelson a bit, she snuck Mr. Nelson's daughter out-without Mrs. Nelson even noticing! Miss Sienna didn't want me following her, so she sweet-talked the girl into her car and drove off down Brew Hill.

I had no idea what to do, so I called you right away."

Whitney's brow furrowed deeply. "Does Sienna usually get along with Mr. Nelson's daughter?"

"Not really. Sienna's always had a thing for Mr. Nelson, so she's never liked that he's got a kid from another woman. She's tried to get close to Tina, but the girl's stubborn as a mule-never gives Sienna the time of day."

Whitney figured as much. Shane's daughter was never going to like a woman as overbearing as Sienna.

"So why would the kid go with Sienna now?"

"That's what I'm saying-I have no idea what Sienna told her, but she just up and left with her."

Whitney's eyes narrowed, her face growing cold.

So Sienna was making her move tonight. After plotting with Emma at the manor, she'd gone and snatched Shane's daughter.

Clearly, she was planning to use the kid as leverage against Shane.

With the girl in hand, Sienna would finally have an excuse to see Shane-who absolutely couldn't stand her.

Pathetic.

Whitney's own son had gotten hurt once-she hated nothing more than someone using a kid as a pawn.

She thought it over. Sienna wanted

to get Shane into bed, and she

wanted it to work. She probably wouldn't hurt the kid right now. Most likely, she'd used some kind of

promise or bribe to get the girl to go

along planning to use ser as

go-between.

And then, tonight, Sienna would try to get Shane alone, maybe even spike his drink, if she got the chance.

Jane got the message and pledged her loyalty. "Don't worry, Miss Whitney. I'm on your side."

Everyone knew Whitney would end up running things. Mr. Sheldon doted on her, and she had Ludwik backing her up.

If it came down to Whitney versus the old lady and Sienna, Jane had made her choice.

Whitney hung up, convinced Sienna had taken the girl to see Shane and was up to no good.

Whitney didn't know his exact

address, but the priority now was to warn Shane that Sienna was plotting something - before he walked right into her trap, totally unprepared. The content is on Novelxo.org! Read the latest chapter there!

She remembered how furious Shane had been that afternoon, storming off after

Sandy Turner...

If he was still with Sandy now, maybe he'd be safe...

Speak of the devil-just as Whitney was about to dial, her phone rang. It was

Sandy.

She paused for a second, eyebrows knitting, then answered on instinct, "Sandy, where are you? Have you seen Shane?"
