Chapter 417
Dexter took a deep breath and stared straight into Angela's eyes. "Do you think I need your damn money?"
A rebellious thought suddenly popped into Angela's mind. "You might not need the money, but plenty of others do, like that tall, muscular male escort
at Azure Club."
"You have no sincerity at all! I went out of my way to help you with such a big favor," Dexter snapped before yanking the car door open and stepping
out, slamming it shut with a loud bang.
Angela was puzzled by the way he mistreated his cherished car. She hurried out as well.
Hearing her footsteps, Dexter slowed down, adopting an effortlessly cool demeanor. He thought she was chasing after him.
However, after a few moments of silence, he sensed something was off. He turned his head and was furious by what he saw.
Angela had settled into the driver's seat and was following him at a relaxed pace, giving off the vibe of a commanding CEO.
Dexter, already fuming, finally lost it. He strode toward her. "Get out!"
Angela obediently stepped on the brakes and got out of the car. "Don't be mad. I'm not good at comforting people, so you'll just have to deal with it
yourself."
and was now pulling classic player moves.
"Angela, do you even have a conscience?" Dexter was about to collapse. He truly couldn't understand how she'd become this shameless. She was
acting just like a true heartbreaker.
"I don't have a conscience, but that's not my fault. I did mention I'd transfer money, and you didn't want it," she muttered, looking a little aggrieved.
Just then, her phone suddenly rang. She hurriedly took it out and checked it. It was Clara.
"Sorry, I need to take this call." Angela answered the phone and walked to the side of the road, turning her back to Dexter.
Ten minutes later, when she turned around again, Dexter and the car were gone without a trace. It was unbelievable how much he resented her. Left
with no choice, Angela hailed a cab home.
Fiona and Mia were sitting in the living room. It seemed like Fiona was sharing parenting tips with Mia.

When they saw Angela, both of them smiled. Mia waved at her and said, "Angela, come and see Leo. He was just laughing so happily."
Angela's lingering displeasure instantly vanished. "Hurry, let me hold him!"
Leo was clearly the lively and cheerful type. As soon as Angela picked him up, he broke into a smile, his eyes curving adorably. He looked a lot like
Zayn.
Angela asked, "Has Zayn been here? Did he say anything? At the very least, he should be paying child support."
Mia's expression stiffened. "He's been in contact with me a lot lately. He still wants me to go back... with Leo."
Angela immediately had a bad feeling. Mia had many good qualities, but her flaws were just as obvious. Her biggest weakness was her soft heart.
She could never resist even the slightest persuasion.
"Think it through carefully. Whether it's for you or for Leo, you can't make a rash decision. Otherwise, you may regret it one day," Angela warned.
Mia nodded and said nothing more.
That night, Angela tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. Right before she went to sleep, she received a friend request. The profile picture was just
a gray block.
After she accepted, the person didn't say a single word. But she knew who it was all too well. It was Austin.
Austin's personality bore some resemblance to Dexter's in his earlier days. He was aloof and refined. Everyone often thought that he was out of
everyone's league and too hard to win over.
