Chapter 7
Chapter 7:.
Stella was still deep in thought when a sweet, childlike voice suddenly reached her ears. “Daddy... Daddy! The baby is here!”
Stella looked at the girl, about four years old, who was running toward the man in front of the car.
Alia had left the school surrounded by several bodyguards. When the girl saw the man standing in front of the car, she screamed
and ran towards him....
RK noticed his daughter running towards him and quickly took big steps forward, taking the child in his arms.
The bodyguards followed close behind. He had only come to pick up his daughter, but it felt like a spectacle, attracting the
attention of many onlookers.
“Why are you running? You know Dad will be worried.”
Alia nodded and said, “I know, Dad...next time.”
Stella was watching the interaction between father and daughter when a familiar, crisp voice came from behind, drawing her
attention.
“Honey?”
Adrian, always attentive to Stella’s emotions, had noticed the sadness in her expression. Concerned, he looked at her and said,
“Honey, if you’re not happy, I can give you a big hug!”.
Saying this, she opened both arms wide.
Stella looked at her son’s little face and hid the faint emotions from her eyes. She picked up the chubby little guy and hugged him
tightly, kissing his rosy cheeks.
“Honey he’s not unhappy,” she reassured him, “but yes, your hugs are wonderful. I like them very much.”
After looking at her son, Stella forgot about everything else; she didn’t care about anything. In her life, nothing mattered more
than her son.
“If my darling likes it, then hug me like this forever,” Adrian said with an earnest nod of his head, hugging Stella’s neck. “And
when you grow old, I’ll hold you and take care of you.”

of people.
Time seemed to stand still. The moment was so precious; mother and son were chatting and laughing, as if they were alone in
this world with no one around.
At home...
It had not been long since Stella had returned, and she had nowhere to live here except RK’s mansion, where she had lived for
three years after her marriage to RK.
But of course, I couldn’t go there, and even if I could... I wasn’t willing to go.
So, right now, she was living in an apartment she had rented with her best friend, Emily.
Emily and Stella worked together in France, and since they were both from the same country, they got along well. Last year,
Emily was there from headquarters, so after that they didn’t work together in France.
“Stella, you’re here!”
Emily, who was busy in the kitchen, heard the noise in the living room and came out to see. When she saw Stella, she greeted
her cheerfully.
Since he had been working in the kitchen and had just come out, he still wore his apron around his body.
As she spoke to Stella, her eyes fell on the little boy next to her and her face filled with excitement. “Look who’s here, my little
boy! You don’t know how much your aunt has missed you.”
Emily exclaimed, rushing over to Adrian to hug him tightly and kiss his cheeks.
Adrian frowned because, with the exception of his mother, he didn’t like anyone kissing him. But of course, there was nothing he
could do because he knew his aunt was always like that.
Undeterred by his reaction, Emily continued, “Auntie made you your favorite grilled sandwich and corn chowder today. You want
to eat, don’t you?” she asked as she held him in her arms.
As she carried him in her arms, Emily continued, “I wasn’t home yesterday, so I didn’t get to see you. It’s been almost a year
since I last saw you.
You don’t know how much I’ve missed my little baby.”
Then, she put him on the couch and said, “But I can say that in this year, my baby got cuter and chubbier.”
“Fatty?”
Adrian heard her words and jumped down from the couch. “I think Auntie is getting old and her eyesight has gone bad, how can
Adrian said with an angry face, turning his head away from Emily.
Emily saw her cute reaction and laughed, “Hehe.... Have you ever seen such a cute aunt who even knows how to cook delicious
food?” she teased. Adrian, still sulking, said nothing, keeping his head turned away.
Emily looked at Stella and complained, “It’s only been a year since we last saw each other, and look at this little guy? How
ungrateful he is!”
Stella said nothing and just smiled, because the two of them were always like that.
She gently tousled her son’s fluffy hair and said, “Honey, go wash your hands. It’s time to eat.
Adrian listened to his mother’s words and replied, “Very good, honey!”.
As he said this, he ran to the bathroom to wash his hands.
Emily complained again, “Look at this little guy; he only knows how to listen to his mother! Stella, how long are you going to stay
in the field this time?”.
Stella sat on the couch, her expression thoughtful.
“I’ve already done what Mr. Paul asked me to do. At first I thought this project would take me at least two months, but everything
went faster and smoother than I expected...”.
He paused and then added, “Now that it’s all done, I’m thinking of coming back as soon as possible.”
I didn’t want him to be her boss. She didn’t want to wait for him. She didn’t want her son and daughter to go to the same school.
Most of all, Stella was afraid he would find out about Adrian.
After their divorce six years earlier, she had cut all ties with him. They were already separated, and she didn’t want to see him
again.... Ever!
“Then come back... But...” Emily heard that Rene Kingston bought the company.
She already knew his situation, so she also knew of his concern and worry. But whatever happened, she would always be by his
side.
“But the problem is that now that Mr. Paul’s company has been bought by the RK Group, if you want to go back to France, you
will have to get their approval.”
Stella frowned. Because this was the very situation she had been worrying about. She had been thinking about this for a whole
day, but she still didn’t have the courage to face it.
What’s more, I didn’t want to look at him, let alone say a single word to him....
Every time I thought about this, I felt a kind of psychological burden.
