Love After Divorce by BELLA

Chapter 43

Chapter 43:.
What was going on, hadn’t he just sent this little guy to his room to sleep? Why was he here again? It had only been fifteen
minutes: he turned around to wash his pants and now father and son were together again.
Not only that, but looking at them, the two seemed to be on good terms with each other. Adrian’s small, chubby hand held RK’s
large hand, supporting it gently, while his other hand gently fanned the back of the man’s hand, creating a gentle breeze.
The sight of those chubby hands fanning each other, as if in love, made Stella’s heart skip a beat. It was as if her father was hurt
and her son was very distressed and worried about him. Stella rushed over and said, “Adrian, didn’t I ask you to go back to your
room to sleep? Why are you here again?”
After speaking, she looked at the man’s face, trying to discern from his expression whether he had noticed something.
After all, she knew very well that her son used to talk without holding back. Moreover, she had not warned Adrian beforehand
that the man was very astute. What if he caught on to her precious son’s words?
This man had just asked a question. It would be bad if he pressed Adrian for more information. Stella felt her heart clench.
“Honey, I came out to go to the bathroom, but I saw Uncle was still sitting here. I thought he’d be lonely, so I came to keep him
company.”
Adrian gripped RK’s hand tightly between his chubby little hands, as if holding a treasure, refusing to let go no matter what.
Stella didn’t know what the boy was thinking. Why was he so unwilling to let go of the man’s hand? Fearful that RK might get
upset, Stella said, “Adrian, quickly go back to your room and sleep. If you don’t, tomorrow you won’t wake up on time. And don’t
always hold Uncle’s hand; it’s polite.”
After all, this man was very unpredictable – what if he got angry and hurt his precious baby? But this time, it was not Adrian who

responded, but the man himself.
RK lazily opened his thin lips and said, “Okay. Let him do whatever he wants.” Stella was confused. What was wrong with this
man?
She really didn’t know how to describe his feelings. Was he up to something or was he being sincere? Either way, Stella was
sure that a man like him wouldn’t be so kind to a child he didn’t know.

Adrian nodded his little head and smilingly said, “Honey, I think Uncle’s hand really hurts. Shall we take him to the hospital?”
He spoke with such concern, with a tone full of sympathy. Stella rolled her eyes and said coldly, “No need.” They had just come
back from the hospital, okay? If this man needed to be admitted, he would have been admitted a long time ago.
It was obvious he was deliberately avoiding treatment to make her feel guilty.
Adrian, seeing Stella’s refusal, pouted. He said sadly, “My dear! How can you be so ruthless and cold, Uncle is hurt because of
you! You always taught me to be kind, even to small animals!
But... Honey, what about you? Look, uncle got hurt protecting you. He could bleed a lot! Uncle just told me his hand hurts! If I
didn’t blow on it, it would hurt even more!”
Stella was speechless. This little fellow...he really didn’t stop talking. Stella couldn’t help but wonder. She was the one who
raised him single-handedly, but here he was, helping his father without a second thought.
She really didn’t know who had raised him. Fortunately, she still didn’t know that man was his biological father. If she did know,
she couldn’t imagine how much she would support him! He was already helping this man blame her!
He was getting more and more unruly! Stella was really angry.
It’s no big deal for a man to get hurt. What’s more, it’s just a scratch. It will heal in a few days.” Stella looked indifferent. However,
it was the truth. This man’s body was very strong. His bones and muscles didn’t look injured at all. At least, he still had the
strength to pinch her thighs!

Adrian heard her words and was not amused. Sitting cross-legged on the couch, he looked at Stella as if she were a meanie.
He pouted with his little mouth and said arrogantly, “Honey, the guy just said his hand really hurt! He hurt himself saving you!
How can you say that? Look.” Having said that, Adrian carefully held RK’s hand and showed it to Stella, as if wanting her to see
it clearly.
And he continued: “Look... Look! Uncle’s hand is also red. What are you talking about? A moment ago, uncle almost fainted from
the pain.” Adrian spoke seriously, as if RK was in so much pain that he almost fainted.

Stella finally understood. This man not only lied to his grandmother in the hospital about not having a girlfriend. Now, he was in
her house cheating on her son! Only innocent, good-hearted children like Adrian would believe the words of a demon like him!
That bastard! He was already over thirty, how dare he cheat on a child, how shameless! Stella rolled her eyes, this time to show
her anger.
Then, with her pants and underwear in her hand, she threw them on the sofa where the man was sitting. She didn’t care if they
fell to the floor or not. He said, “Mr. Kingston, your pants are washed and dry. You can put them on and go home. I won’t fire
you.”
There was silence. No one picked up the pants they had thrown on the floor. Time seemed to stand still and, for a moment, no
one moved.
Ten seconds later, a loud, clear voice rang out: “My dear! How can you treat uncle like that? You’re not a nice person! The
teacher said we should know how to reciprocate kindness. Uncle saved you. You should thank him for that. How can you be so
fierce to him?”
Stella was speechless, she had a feeling that this guy was really trying to go against her today! Why were her grandmother and
her son so easily fooled by this man?
This was Adrian’s first time meeting RK, how could he start liking her? If this kept up, wouldn’t Adrian end up like his
grandmother? He was even betraying his own mother!
RK gently rubbed the little boy’s head and said softly, “Adrian, go to bed soon! I won’t bother you anymore.”
