Love After Divorce by BELLA

Chapter 10

Chapter 10:.
RK looked out the window. He did not answer her question. She didn’t know what his silence meant. Did he accept his marriage
to Sophia or not?
Anyway, it had nothing to do with her.... No matter how much you loved someone, six years was enough to let them go.
Stella knew it in her heart, even though she didn’t leave the country. But she still chose the quiet life she had been living for six
years with her baby. As long as Adrian was with her, she didn’t need anything else.
At home...
Stella was about to open the door when it burst open from the inside. Adrian’s little hands were still on the doorknob.
“Honey, you’re back!” he exclaimed with a beaming smile. Stella looked at her son and smiled.
“Was my baby waiting for mommy, has he had a bath yet?”.
Stella knew that every time she went out, this little guy was always waiting for her. Not only that, he would call her every now and
then, as if to tell everyone that she belonged only to him.
That’s why Stella always felt warm at heart. She took him in her arms, kissed his chubby cheeks and sat on the couch with him
in her lap.
Adrian curled up in a comfortable position and pouted as he said, “Did I eat when you weren’t home? First, I thought you came
back alone at night, and second...”
“I don’t like to eat without you.”
Stella listened to Adrian’s words and hugged him tightly.
He was still just a child, but sometimes he spoke like an adult. Not only did he use his words to cajole her, but sometimes he
acted as her spiritual pillar.
In short, he was everything to her, and without him, she couldn’t think of her life.

“Look how your son uses double standards to treat people differently,” scoffed Emily, standing next to them.

“You can’t be fooled by his sweet face-you have to teach him! He’s just a kid, but he learns to use his sweet face to fool you. God
only knows what will happen when he grows up. I’m sure he’ll turn the world upside down.”
“Mom, stop causing trouble,” Adrian pouted.
“Honey! Don’t believe him.”
She wrapped her arms around Stella’s neck, acting like a spoiled child, as if she feared she might believe Emily’s words.
Adrian then asked, “Mommy, who sent you back? I just saw a beautiful car downstairs.
When Stella went out, as usual, Adrian would go to the balcony with a stool and wait for her return. It was his custom. At that
moment, while he was waiting, he saw RK’s car.
Stella’s hand paused as she held Adrian, and her body tensed.
She had never mentioned Rene Kingston to Adrian, had she ever told him that RK was her father? The only time Adrian had
ever asked him about his father was when he was still in kindergarten, in France.
That day, when Adrian came home, he asked her, “Mom, where’s dad?”
At that moment, she had just said, “Dad was gone...”
I wasn’t sure if Adrian understood that to mean that his father was absent or deceased. But after that, he never asked anything
about his father.
Stella thought, “My son must think his father has passed away.”
“That car belongs to one of Mom’s colleagues,” explained Stella. “He happened to be going in the same direction, so he gave me
a ride.”
Stella replied, but deep in her heart she felt guilty for lying to him. It had been five years since she had given birth to him, and
Stella had never intended to tell him that Rene Kingston was his father.
Since there was nothing between them and no possibility in the future, she didn’t want her precious baby to get involved in adult

affairs.

Now that man was about to get married.... “Ohhh.”
Adrian looked at Stella’s face, which was flushed by his thoughts, and just replied nonchalantly without saying anything else.
After dinner...
Adrian went to his room, pulled out his toy cell phone, lay down on his small bed and looked at the phone in a daze.
There was a picture of RK sending Stella home in the car.
At first, Adrian had wanted to ask Stella if the man in the photo was her boyfriend. But when he heard her call him just a
colleague, he lost interest and decided not to ask any further.
Looking at the photo on his phone, Adrian decided to zoom in to see what kind of man his colleague was. As a result, he saw a
very high profile black car standing below.
The black car looked very shiny and high profile. Even in the dim street lights, you could tell that the owner of this car was a tall
and powerful person.
Adrian didn’t know much about the model of the car, but since he liked car racing games, he knew that this car was one of the
most expensive cars on the market.
He had to play for so many days to earn the coins to get this car, but he did not expect that he would see it so soon with his own
eyes.
Adrian reasoned that mom’s colleague must be a rich businessman.
He zoomed in closer and saw the man inside the car, dressed in a suit and leather shoes. Since the window was ajar, she could
see half of his face.
His blue eyes were deep as the sea.
Adrian zoomed in as much as he could, and saw the man in the car looking in his direction.
“Fuck... Did this guy find out I was hiding on the balcony and sneaking a picture of him? If not, why did he look in my direction?”.
“Should I tell mom that I had taken a picture of her colleague on the sly? Will she kick me out of the house after she finds out?”.

No... It couldn’t happen. He began to panic.
