Everyone except me:“......?!” Another bombshell.

Peninsula Hotel Cantonese Restaurant. Evan had finished his meal but hadn’t left; he was engrossed in his phone. After a while,
he smirked, a low chuckle escaping his lips.“She’s quite something.”
Zach, standing beside him, also saw the messages.“More exciting than a drama. Olivia Frost is resourceful and brave.”
“She’s risking her life; it’s not a TV show.” Evan said casually. After a few more moments, he put away his phone, getting up to
leave.
In the elevator, Zach pressed the button for the lower ground floor, but Evan said, “Such a spectacle; wouldn’t you like to see the
live version?”
Zach blinked.“...Ah, yes.” He had to say yes.
Back in the ballroom. Seraphine stared at Rita, stunned and disbelieving. She hadn’t expected Rita to use her as a scapegoat.
“No, no, it wasn’t like that. I didn’t force her. She said she had a way to get Olivia to sign the compensation agreement; that’s
why I... I lured Olivia to the hotel. But I didn’t know she’d use that method; I thought they’d just scare her; I only wanted her to
sign the agreement.” Seraphine explained frantically. But her words confirmed her complicity.
Rita cried, refuting her.“Aunt Seraphine, how could you do this? You complained that Olivia was greedy, raising the price from
one million to one and a half million. I felt sorry for you and Julian, so I helped! You said you were afraid Julian would hate you;
you asked me to contact those people!”
Seraphine’s fingers trembled with rage.“You... you... you’re lying!”
... Seraphine nearly fainted from shock, suffering a heart attack. The Crowes realized they needed Rita to escape; they
unanimously blamed Seraphine for involving her daughter. They shifted all responsibility onto her. Seraphine, forgetting
decorum, argued with them.
The guests were mesmerized. They’d underestimated the drama’s intensity; twists and turns, non–stop excitement.
I was also surprised. Rita had bitten her own grandmother at this crucial moment; they were turning on each other. I glanced at
Julian’s reaction; his face was frozen, like a thick layer of snow covering his mouth and nose. He, so concerned with
appearances, must be devastated. This was the price of his infidelity!
“Olivia Frost, I apologize. I’ll pay for your medical expenses and treatment; modern medicine might be able to cure AIDS!” Rita
cried remorsefully. I looked at her; she was wiping non–existent tears, feigning regret and seeking forgiveness. But I saw a
vicious glint in her eyes. She didn’t care about being exposed; sacrificing her grandmother was fine; as long as she could spread
rumors about me being assaulted and having AIDS, right? An inherently malicious person!
“Heh...” I laughed coldly.“First, I don’t forgive you. I’ve already called the police. Second, you’re wrong. Last night, someone
saved me; those people didn’t succeed. I don’t have AIDS; I’m not dead. But you! Will go to jail!”
... Rita’s expression froze; remorse, sadness, and apology peeled away, revealing a dark, ugly core. Julian’s eyes brightened.
He walked towards me.“Really? Really?” I ignored him.
Rita’s voice was shrill. “That’s impossible! That hotel is famously private; the room was so secluded; no one would go there! Who
would save you? Who? A god?”

I said, “If you must say so, yes, he is quite godlike. His scent, his gentle reassurance, felt like a divine intervention, tall,
Rita: “I don’t believe you. There’s no such person. You just don’t want Julian to think you’re unclean.”
I scoffed coldly. “I don’t need him to think anything. If I were assaulted, the filth, the guilt wouldn’t be mine, but theirs and yours!”
Rita froze, her expression wild with rage. “Stop with the useless talk! You say there was someone, right? Call him out! Summon
your god! Let everyone see who this savior is!”
I remained silent. I couldn’t reveal Evan. A man of his stature wouldn’t want to be involved in such a melodrama; I couldn’t betray
his kindness and cause him trouble.
“Can’t say anything? I knew you were lying!” Rita pressed. The light in Julian’s eyes seemed to dim. He didn’t stop Rita; he also
wanted to know...
“Not a god, but a person. I was saved by him.” A calm, deep voice echoed from the back of the crowd. Everyone turned. They
saw a strikingly handsome man, elegant, tall–breathtaking. Someone recognized him, whispering, “Evan!”
“Which Evan?”
‘Chicago doesn’t have many Evans! Are you stupid?!”
“My god, the Jones family heir! Why is he here... Wait, what did he say?”
...The ballroom buzzed. Evan wouldn’t attend such an event; the Shaws couldn’t afford to invite him. But he was here; based on
his words... the crowd gasped. He was the savior? He came specifically for me? Olivia Frost has a natural ability to attract top–
tier men!!
The Shaws and Crowes had complex expressions and feelings. Julian stared at Evan, animosity in his dark instinctual rivalry
between men... Rita had never met Evan, but she knew the Jones family’s power. She glared at me eyes. The
-jealously; this bitch had quickly found another wealthy man!
‘Mr. Jones. I was stunned.
“I happened to be dining here; seeing the commotion, I came to take a look.” Evan said lightly, as if he were just a passerby.
Hands in his pockets, his gaze swept across the room. His every move radiated authority.
