How the Ice King Became my Doting Billionaire Husband

Chapter 484

Chapter 484
"Ha! Do you even care, Stuart? Look at you now, brought down to earth. You've always been so high and mighty, and today you
finally get a taste of my humility. No matter how much you love or care, she won't even spare you a glance. This is your
reckoning!"
Stuart didn't believe in reckoning. All he wanted was for Morwenna to be safe.
If there were any truth to the idea of karma, he wished all the consequences would fall on him, sparing Morwenna entirely.
With a tinge of desperation, he pleaded, "Princess, please, come over here, I beg you."
Adelaide laughed through her tears, unable to control her emotions.
This was Stuart, after all!
The very Stuart who always stood aloof, never giving women a second glance!
And here he was, pleading with a woman, begging her to move to safety.
But Morwenna remained unmoved. She even stepped back, as if recalling something unpleasant. She looked up, her voice faint
and ethereal due to weakness, "Stuart, when you deceived me and watched me stumble towards you with all my sincerity, what

were you thinking?"
Stuart felt as though someone had seized his throat, leaving him momentarily speechless.
Back then, he had orchestrated the car accident to play the hero. Watching Morwenna willingly stay by his side, he had been
smug, thinking it was so easy to make her stay.
But now, he wished he could turn back time and erase all the foolish things he had done.
"I..."
"No need to apologize. I won't forgive you," Morwenna interrupted coldly.
Stuart's words were trapped in his throat.
He appeared to be in more agony than Morwenna, nearly getting hit by Phineas's

men.
Adelaide laughed through her tears, caught in a cycle of mirth and sorrow.
She reveled in Stuart's predicament, yet she felt like a joke herself over the years.
She had always believed herself superior to Morwenna, thinking she was better in every way.
Back then, she even thought that by falling into the water together, she could prove to Morwenna that Stuart cared more about
her.
Only now did she realize that Stuart's attitude towards them was worlds apart. She and Morwenna were incomparable.

She mocked Stuart.
But she was even more saddened by her own situation.
At that moment, Greta suddenly called out to Morwenna, "Sweetheart, don't mind these people. Come over here."
Greta, in her high heels, was standing over a large man, exuding an air of authority as she waved Morwenna over.
Morwenna stood there, stunned.
over
Greta, with a bright smile, said, "Sweetheart, your big sister risked coming out late at night to rescue you. Impressive, right? Last
time borrowed your slippers from Rosefrost University, I promised I'd return them. This time, I should've brought a truckload of
slippers to bury that toxic Adelaide. Now, listen, come to your sister."
Morwenna took an instinctive step forward.
Adelaide let out a shriek, halting Morwenna in her tracks.
Greta, never one to be polite to Adelaide, snapped, "What are you screaming for, you spiteful creature? I heard you've always
been jealous
of me. But you? You're not eve worthy of jealousy. Tell me, can you even compare to a single hair on my head?"

Adelaide was so infuriated she nearly choked.
After cursing Adelaide, Greta called out to Morwenna again, "Alright, stop staring into space. Sweetheart, come over here. Don't
make things difficult for your big sister. Reflecting
on life isn't for someone you
Norbert isn't dead yet. I'll teach you how to live once we're out of here."
Morwenna's head snapped up. Norbert Hetfield wasn't dead! Her steps wavered, and she stumbled towards Greta.
