How the Ice King Became my Doting Billionaire Husband

Chapter 458

Chapter 458
Claude's expression shifted subtly as the realization dawned on him: Attorney Wesley's arrangements were indeed necessary.
Phineas, on the other hand, seemed impatient and unwilling to drag things out. He was ready to capture Morwenna,
consequences be damned.
Even if Claude called the police, even if there were repercussions, Phineas was determined to act first.
A swarm of bodyguards surged forward, and a brawl erupted between the two groups.
Claude's side was clearly outnumbered.
Under the cover of his bodyguards, Phineas stormed into the villa.
They searched high and low, but Morwenna was nowhere to be found.
It suddenly hit Phineas: he had been played.
Morwenna wasn't there at all.
That day, several people had been present.

Besides Claude, there were Attorney Wesley, Matthew, and Brian.
Since Morwenna wasn't here, one of those three must have taken her away.
Although someone had seen Attorney Wesley leave alone, making him still somewhat suspicious, Phineas decided to focus on
the other two first.
After all, no family member wants to make an enemy of a top-notch lawyer.
As Phineas mulled over these thoughts, he turned to leave, his face dark with anger.
He paused in front of Orson, who was pinned down by three bodyguards, as if contemplating giving him a thrashing.
From behind, Claude spoke coldly, "Phineas, leave my place immediately, or... Even though I don't hold many shares, if I oppose
you with all I've got, I think you'll still find it troublesome."

Claude's five percent share was not insignificant, especially when Phineas only held fifteen percent.
Even Reuben Hetfield had only managed to secure five percent after years in the Hetfield Group, and those shares had
eventually ended up with Stuart.
Phineas, not wanting to completely alienate Claude, reined in his anger. He signaled for his men to release Orson and smiled at
Claude, "I've come here today only to find Morwenna. I have no intention of clashing with you. After all, we're all part of the

Hetfield family. Take care of yourself."
After Phineas left, he immediately ordered an investigation into the whereabouts of Matthew and Brian.
Meanwhile, Matthew, on his way back home after picking up takeout, noticed someone watching him closely.
Wearing a hat and mask, he lowered the brim and took a circuitous route back home, leaving the takeout behind.
Once inside, he looked at Brian with a hint of distress, "Brian, put down your phone for a second. I think I was spotted when I
went downstairs for the takeout. This is going to be tough on you. I'm too conspicuous. No matter where I go, I'm easily
recognized. I need to leave first. Morwenna is your responsibility now."
Brian's eyes widened, "Are you kidding me? You want me to babysit Morwenna alone? I don't want to be stuck with this woman."
"Just bear with it for now. I'll also check if there's any news from Stuart's side. Paparazzi have sharp eyes these days. Even with
a mask and hat, they can still recognize me, and if they do, the Hetfield family pests will swarm in no time."
After giving his instructions, Matthew quickly left, taking several long detours. Then he made a brief appearance in a public
place.
As a famous actor, too many people recognized him. Hiding was nearly impossible.
Once Matthew was gone, Brian realized he hadn't eaten. His mood soured further.
He couldn't cook, and the takeout Matthew had left behind was out of reach. What would he eat now?
After searching around, he found two packets of instant noodles.
Without considering whether Morwenna would eat, he made them for himself.

The more he ate, the more annoyed he became.
How did it end up with him being the one left to watch over Morwenna?
