Chapter 55
Justus had mixed feelings. When the Rivers family had an accident, he was still studying abroad. When he heard the news and
came back, everyone in the family was gone, leaving him alone. It was Elvis who always helped him. They were like brothers.
In the years since Nancy left, he had witnessed Elvis‘ unrequited love for Nancy, and no other girl had ever appeared beside him.
He always hoped that Elvis would be able to get out of his past relationship and start a new life.
But somehow, when he just saw that Elvis cared for Nola, he was a little lost.
He deliberately told Nola his identity, she was a little surprised but remained calm. Intuition told him that this woman was different
from all the women who had liked Elvis in the past. He hadn’t even seen Elvis ever show that kind of gentle and loving eyes to
Nancy.
Nancy and Nola were even completely different.
Justus thought that Elvis would only like a girl like Nancy. But now Nola and Nancy were completely different.
What was going on with him?
Elvis had a new start, and he should be happy. But when he saw how close they were today, he felt that Nancy had been
betrayed.
Justus let out a long sigh and laughed. Nancy died years ago. Why was he insisting on all this? Did Elvis have to live with
Nancy’s relics for the rest of his life?
He seemed to understand something.
But the words of Justus in the elevator made a deep impression on Nola.
At dinner with Linda, she was a little lost. She didn’t even pay attention to what Linda said.
“Hey! What are you thinking about? You should be sincere to have dinner with me. You’re lost in thought. Something on your
mind?”
Nola snapped back to her senses and shook her head. Justus just told the truth. She didn’t need to care about it.
Linda sighed and put down the dishes. She could tell at a glance if there was something on Nola’s mind. She knew Nola too well.
“I’m your good friend. You can tell me.” Linda was straightforward.
It wasn’t that Nola didn’t want to say it, but she didn’t know what she should start with.
“Who doesn’t have a first love? What matters is that he is now with you and likes you. Didn’t you say before that you two were
getting along well?”
But Nola suddenly thought that after liking him, she became different from before.
She was now overthinking just because of a sentence. While they were eating, Nola talked about what happened at the
company today, and Linda realized that Nola was bothered by that.
Justus knew who Nola was now but still talked about Elvis‘ past in front of Nola.
No woman didn’t care about her husband’s past. In the world, there were no generous women, only the two possibilities of

“Did he do that on purpose to see how you would react?”

Nola didn’t know what Justus was trying to say when he said this to her. But the remembered that when she said that the knew
Nancy, he looked hesitant and didn’t say anything else.
Was Justus trying to see how Nola and Elvis‘ relationship was developing?
“Justus takes Elvis as his brother–in–law. Now that his brother–in–law is married to another woman, of course, he’s a little upset.
That’s normal.”
“Does he want Elvis to keep a pile of cold relics for the rest of his life?” That kind of fruitless waiting was too cruel to Elvis.
“Fortunately, Mr. Grayson explained it before.” Linda said, laughing. “Your relationship is developing so quickly. He explained the
past to you so quickly. Nola, do not think too much. Many conflicts and emotional rifts are due to suspicion. You need to trust,
and so does he. You have to have faith in yourself!”
Linda enlightened her for a long time, and Nola felt that Linda was right.
If she had been under suspicion, she would not have felt good either. She shouldn’t have thought much about it.
She was in no position to erase Elvis‘ past. Everyone had the past. The important thing was that the person beside him was
her now.
Justus‘ relationship with Nancy. Elvis and Justus grew up together and are good friends. It’s right for him to help Justus. As far as
I know, Justus is a very capable person.”
According to Linda, Elvis gave Justus a platform to show his talent by keeping him at Grayson Group.
Of course, Justus could have chosen to start his own business. Justus stayed at Grayson Group because of his friendship with
Elvis.
“The brotherly relationship between men is not something we women can understand.”
“Just like they don’t understand the relationship between us?” Nola was enlightened and smiled, and no longer dwelled on
Justus‘ sentence.
She was just an ordinary person. How could she possibly manage to make every person like her?
Linda was fighting hard for her future. She worked hard, and her every day was fulfilling.
Linda was busy and Nola didn’t keep her too long. When we parted, Nola told her, “Don’t be obsessed with games all the time.
I’m married. Although work is important, you have to think about yourself. I would feel more comfortable if you had someone
around to take care of you.”
Linda laughed. “Don’t worry! Don’t you know my boyfriend is in the game?”
Nola laughed helplessly. “You haven’t even met him! You two have been together since you started playing the game. Now that
you’ve graduated, don’t you want to meet him? You can’t live with the game for the rest of your life! When you’re sick, what else
can he do but tell you to drink more water?”
Linda looked at her. “He has a nice voice. But others say that a man with a good voice must be ugly. In case he’s too ugly, I’ll
lose my love.”
“What if he’s handsome and has a good voice? Like Elvis?*
“Oops! Forget it! I’ve only been working for six months, and I’m on the rise in my career. Don’t worry. I will seriously

Nola was always worried about Linda’s love affair. Linda and the man had known each other for a long time, but they hadn’t
met.
People could pretend in reality, let alone in the game. She was worried that Linda would find out in the end that everything was a
sham.
