His Only Antidote by Shirley Owen

Chapter 113

Chapter 113
After carefully studying the rejected designs, Nola realized that the previous styles were similar. It didn’t seem like they were
designed for Dreams Bloom. More like they were trying to put a Grayson Group design label on Dreams Bloom.
Nola believed that everyone should have their unique style and that people should not immediately recognize the Grayson Group
from the designs they create.
It was no wonder that the client had repeatedly rejected their plans. Perhaps it was because the other designers had been
working too long, and their thinking patterns had become so fixed that they could not design anything creative. Therefore. they
were unable to satisfy the other party.
The next day, Nola decided to meet with the client. Unexpectedly, she was stopped by Deborah when she tried to leave.
Only then did Nola understand what did Deborah mean. She had to complete the design independently, but she also had to
complete the work of an assistant.
Looking at the documents that needed to be copied and checked, Nola felt a headache coming. “Is it because Deborah doesn’t
want me to finish this design so that she can find an excuse to drive me away?” Nola thought.
Bertha walked over proudly. She calmly took a sip of the fragrant coffee in her hand and said sarcastically, “Nola, don’t you think
it’s amazing? One’s fate can’t be changed. We came into the company together. Look at what I’m doing in the company. I feel
sorry for you.”
Bertha didn’t have much to do. All she did was serve Claire tea and coffee, go out with her to meet the customers, and learn
some basic skills, which seemed very easy. Bertha’s main job was to do business with the customers, and she didn’t have to
worry about anything else.
It was more like a job in the business department. Nola didn’t say anything and continued to work.
“We all know that Miss Garcia is making things difficult for you on purpose. Why don’t you beg me? I can put in a good word for
you with the deputy director if I’m in a good mood. Wouldn’t it be a cinch for the deputy director to let you work for her?”
Nola turned around, glanced at her, and said, “We’re both interns and still on probation. I don’t think you’ll have much more rights
than me. I appreciate your kindness, but you’d better keep it yourself!”

“Nola, you don’t know what’s good for you. You don’t even know that you’re about to be driven away. Don’t you know what the

people in the company say about you? If I were you, I wouldn’t stay here any longer.”
“So, you can only be an assistant.” Nola picked up the copied document and sorted out the next one.
“You make it sound like you have a higher position than an assistant. Don’t you have to work hard here? You’re serving Deborah
tea and coffee, and you have to be scolded. What’s there to be proud of? If you’re really good, why don’t you ask Mr. Grayson to
marry you? How stupid of you to let another woman marry your boyfriend.”
“At the very least, I can still catch his eye, unlike you!”
When the other person brought up the matter again, Nola couldn’t swallow her anger and snapped. Bertha’s face suddenly
turned red. Not knowing what else to say, Bertha turned and left.
Bertha wanted to see how long Nola could hold on here.
Once Mrs. Grayson’s wife discovered Nola’s existence, she would be thrown out of the company.
Just wait!
Most of the time, Nola didn’t know how to make these fools believe what she told them. She even had the urge to ask Elvis to tell
everyone directly that she was his real wife and see what else this group of people could say.

But after thinking about it, Nola didn’t do that
She wanted to prove to Elvis that she could handle these problems by herself.
It was said that fate was fair, whatever it gave you, it would make you face the same difficulties.
If these were problems she had to face to be with Elvis, she was willing to face them alone. She had been trained in the Apex
Group to be iron–willed, so these words were relatively easy for her to take.
However, Nola would still feel annoyed by the sarcastic words she heard. She would get used to them one day if she just kept
listening to them.

No matter what she did, they would not be friendly to her.
This was Nola’s conclusion!
After all, she was destined to be a target for everyone if she married Elvis. Elvis was outstanding, no matter how perfect she
was, those people would still pick on her. The important thing was that they were happy together. Wasn’t that enough?
When Nola saw Elvis, the haze in her heart disappeared in an instant. It was as if the ice and snow had melted under the warm
sunshine.

He was the sun in her life!
Nola stretched out her hand and hugged him. It was the first time Nola had taken the initiative to hug him in the company,
regardless of whether they would be seen or gossiped about. There were already enough rumors, so it was not a big deal to be a
few more.
“What’s wrong?” Elvis felt that Nola was in a bad mood. But she was happy when they were having lunch.
Nola shook her head and looked up at him, saying, “I have a favor to ask of you, of course!”
“You don’t want me to watch TV with you again, do you?”
Nola burst out laughing as she remembered how helpless Elvis was when he heard her complaining about the plot the last time
they watched TV together.
“Why not? Are you afraid?”
“No! I just think that we can kill time in another way.”
“Sure, let’s change the activity this time! How about coming and having ice cream with me?” Looking at the gloomy weather with
snowflakes falling outside, Elvis was speechless.
He really couldn’t understand the idea of eating ice cream on such a cold day.
“You’ll catch a cold!“,

“But I want to eat.” Nola looked at him pitifully. Elvis had no choice but to agree to take her to the dessert shop for ice cream on
such a cold day. She was as happy as a child sitting by the window and looking at the snowflakes falling outside.
Elvis didn’t like snacks, but Nola shared a lot with him.
“Eat less. What if your stomach hurts?”
“Don’t I still have you? We can have diarrhea together. We can go through thick and thin together.”
Elvis had always been strict with himself and had never done such an absurd thing, but now he would do anything for Nola.
If someone had told him that he would do something absurd for a girl one day, he would not have believed it. Only after
experiencing it for himself would he believe that no matter how firm a person was, he would be easily affected by the people he
loved.
The only person that could affect him was that girl named Nola.
Nola was very happy that Elvis was willing to be with her and tolerant of all her emotions. She did not even dare to think about
what she would have missed if she had been shy at that time and not had the courage to look for Elvis or had chosen to give up.
“Elf, I was lucky to have you here.” Under the black umbrella, Elvis held her in his arms and walked in the snow. The cold wind
blew against Nola’s face, but she didn’t feel cold because he had protected her from the wind and snow.
Nola said that she wanted to take a walk in the snow. Even if it were so cold, Elvis would accompany her.
The driver followed them from a distance and didn’t dare to disturb them and ruin the beautiful scenery. This year, the winter in
the city seemed particularly warm because of the two.
