From Sneers to Cheers: Anthea’s Ascent

Chapter 500

The young woman standing before him was not only youthful but strikingly beautiful. She looked no older than eighteen at most.
How could she possibly be Phoenix YC?
Mason swallowed hard and reached out to shake hands with Anthea. "Are you the assistant of the boss? Is the boss in the
back?"
Yes! Surely, she was just the assistant.
Anthea pulled out her phone and logged into the TechNet account right in front of Mason. "Do you believe now that I am Phoenix
YC?"
Mason was taken aback. Holy cow! Was this really the boss? The boss herself! He never dreamed the boss would be so young.
The youngest big name in the tech world was currently thirty-eight. When had there ever been a teenager in such a position?
My goodness! This was astounding! Mason could already imagine the sensation it would cause if this person appeared at the
Tech Summit Global.
"It really is you!" Mason scratched his head. "I thought..."
Anthea raised an eyebrow. "You thought what?”
He had assumed the boss was a man in his sixties or seventies.
"Nothing!" Mason quickly added, "Boss, should we head to the hotel now?"

"Let's go." Anthea replied, pushing her suitcase and stepping forward.
Mason pushed the wheelchair and hurried to catch up with her. Anthea glanced down slightly, "Do you need to pick up anyone
else?"
"No, no one else," Mason shook his head.
"Then what's the wheelchair for?" She noticed a cane resting on it.
Mason couldn't very well say it was originally prepared for her, so he said, "It's for my grandfather at home."
"Oh." Anthea didn't press further.

As they conversed, Mason led Anthea to the underground parking lot. There, a sleek Aston Martin awaited, modified with high-
end features.
Anthea raised an eyebrow, "Nice car."
Mason opened the car door for her, a bit surprised. "You're into cars too?"
"I know a little bit," Anthea said as she slid into the passenger seat.
Mason folded up the wheelchair and placed it in the trunk along with Anthea's suitcase. Once he settled into the driver's seat, he
received a message.
It was from Eugene, saying, "Did you pick up the boss?"
Mason glanced at the figure in the rearview mirror and replied, "Yes, I did."
"Great, Dr. Varn and I will be waiting at the hotel entrance."

Mason responded, "Got it."
He deliberately didn't mention that the boss was a young, attractive woman. He wanted to surprise Eugene and especially Dr.
Varn. Dr. Varn idolized the boss. Imagine his face when he found out his idol was a young woman! It would be priceless.
After replying to Eugene, Mason turned to Anthea. "Boss, if you feel car sick, there's a special spray on the left shelf. It's
specifically for sickness and works like a "
This spray was invented by Dr. Yeager, who also cured cancer. It was highly popular among those prone to motion sickness due
to its effectiveness and lack of side effects.
"Thank you, but I don't get car sick," Anthea replied softly.
Mason started the engine and drove away.
...
Meanwhile, two men stood in front
of a high-end five-star hotel. One was younger, while the other appeared to be in his fifties or

sixties. They occasionally glane
towards the road, looking a bit anxious.
One of them was the renowned Dr. Varn. "Oakley Bingham, are you sure Mason has picked up our predecessor?"
Eugene nodded, "Yes, Doctor, don't worry. The airport is a bit of a distance from here, but they should arrive any moment now."
Dr. Varn still seemed a bit uneasy. “Are you sure he picked up the right person?"
"Yes, Doctor!"
Just then, an Aston Martin slowly approached.
Eugene's eyes lit up. "They're here! Doctor, they're here!"
Dr. Varn was visibly excited. "Where?"
Eugene pointed to the Aston Martin. "That's Mason's car."
