The restroom was partitioned off, with ornately carved wooden dividers between the sinks on either side, and a mirror-like glass
in the middle that so many mistook for a wall.
For instance, while Sophia was freshening up, she overheard a familiar voice behind her.
"Diana, today's dinner must have cost a pretty penny, huh? That lobster alone was like a hundred bucks, you really went all out!"

Sophia thought she had misheard, but when she turned around, indeed it was Diana.
Diana, slightly tipsy, her face flushed with pride, said, "What's that amount of money? Everyone's been so good to me, and the
project was tough on us all. Treating everyone is just my way of saying thanks!"
Another girl, in a white sweater, smiled even more ingratiatingly, "Now that you and President Hester are an item, you'll be the
boss's lady soon. Don't forget to pull me up with you!"
"Don't worry, I won't forget you!" Diana smirked.
The girl in the white sweater said, "I always knew President Hester had a thing for you. There was this girl named Sophia who
was all over President Hester. I was really worried President Hester would end up with her. Thankfully, President Hester knows
Diana scoffed, "She's been chasing Robin for years. I thought she was so devoted, but turns out, she was hot and heavy with
another guy while chasing
Robin. Such a pretender!"
"Really? That happened?"
"Yeah, Robin went to her place and caught her in bed with that other man. Why else would Robin have dumped her?"
"That's insane!" the girl's eyes widened in shock, "Who's the other guy?"
"Jason, the head of Snowy Studios!"
"No wonder she got to be a director so young, must've climbed her way up the ladder that way. Seemed so innocent, but turns
out to be shameless!"
Diana said, "Don't tell anyone else, let's leave her some dignity."
The girl immediately responded, "Of course, I won't say a word!"
While she agreed, she inwardly sneered. The entire department had heard the story from Diana, and she had heard it countless
times from others. So much for a secret!
Diana glanced at her phone, "Robin will be here soon, let's head back."
"Sure!"
As they left, Sophia splashed her face with cold water, furious. She could take being talked about, but dragging Jason into it
She stormed out, catching up to the two and kicked Diana in the rear.
Diana, already unsteady from the drinks, stumbled forward. Trying to regain her balance, she stumbled a few steps further before
finally crashing to the ground in an ungainly heap.
The girl in the white sweater rushed to help Diana up.
Recalling advice from Estelle, to always hit where it hurts the most during the first strike, ensuring a muscle memory of pain that
would instinctively make them shrink back, losing half the battle in morate, Sophia didn't hesitate. As the girl helped Diana up,
Sophia rushed
forward and kicked Diana's knee.
Diana screamed, retreating only to fall back with a "thud," sprawling on the floor. This time, she couldn't get up.
The girl in the white sweater looked at Sophia aghast, scolding, "You homewrecker, shamelessly hitting someone when you're
the one who cheated!"
Sophia, her short hair bristling, her face stern, asked, "Is Robin here yet? Get him!"
The girl immediately pulled out her phone, "You don't have to tell me. I was going
to call President Hester anyway. You just wait!"

private dining room. Please, hurry!"
