Chapter 2479

Chapter 2479
"No talking to him!" Jason pressed his kiss a bit harder.
Sophia said, "I misunderstood him before and said some harsh things. If I get a chance, I'd like to apologize."
Jason paused, his voice deepening, "Then we'll go together when I get back. If you still want to apologize by then, that is. But
under no circumstances are you to meet him alone."
"Mhm," Sophia nodded lightly.
Jason scooped her up and headed towards the bedroom.
It wasn't until they were inside that Sophia finally realized, "What are we doing?"
"It's dark, time for a bath and bed. What else?" Jason removed his glasses and kissed her lips.
Sophia chuckled, "It's only eight!"
"Yeah, that's late enough!" Jason murmured softly, his kiss leaving no room for debate.
He was leaving the day after tomorrow, gone for several days, so every second now was too precious to waste.
Wednesday morning, Jason headed off to Kentucky, leaving all the studio's responsibilities on Sophia's shoulders. She became

even busier, which somewhat helped to distract her from missing him.
Living in his house, every corner filled with his presence made her miss him constantly. The house was too big, and it made her
think of him all the time.
They would video call at night, watching each other work, read, or do other things, until Sophia lay in bed. Jason would only turn
off the call once she had fallen asleep.
The first message on her phone every morning was from Jason, wishing her a good morning and reminding her not to skip
breakfast.
He also kept an eye on the weather in J City, advising her to bring an umbrella or wear more layers if it was cold.
He'd even order her favorite dishes for lunch ahead of time.

Though he wasn't in J City, Sophia felt his presence everywhere in her life, as if he was right there taking care of everything for
her.
Sophia realized, this is what a normal relationship between a couple was like.
By Thursday afternoon, she had finished the design drawing for Yolanda, who insisted on meeting in person. So, they arranged
to meet at a high-end Western restaurant named Astoria that evening.
The spring rain was chilly, and the weather was fluctuating. Wrapped in her coat, Sophia arrived at the- restaurant and waited in

the private room for nearly half an hour before Yolanda showed up.
Dressed in a high-end brand's spring ensemble with a short skirt and thin stockings, Yolanda looked frozen, her face pale. Her
thick makeup seemed like a mask, yet it couldn't hide the dark circles and weariness under her eyes.
She made a perfunctory apology for her lateness, "Sorry, got stuck in traffic!"
Sophia was gracious, "It's okay, the weather's bad. Everyone's a bit more impatient on the road."
Yolanda managed a smile, "You got the design ready?"
"Ready!"
Sophia opened her tablet, showing her the design sketches and the final product renderings.
Yolanda's eyes brightened at first, but after flipping through the designs a few times, she looked up with dissatisfaction, "This is
Snowy Studios' standard? Seems quite overrated to me!"
Sophia responded, "If there's anything specific you're unhappy with, please let me know. I can adjust it based on your feedback."
"I'm unhappy with everything!" Yolanda pushed the tablet back with such force that it nearly fell off the table.
Sophia calmly retrieved the tablet, offering a mild smile, "Perhaps my abilities are limited and can't meet your high expectations.
If you stiff trust Snowy Studios, I can assign another designer to work on your project."
Won
She guessed that Connor must have pressured Yolanda into backing down on the seven-carat diamond ring.

Yolanda didn't want to admit she found the ring too expensive, nor did she want to lower her pride. So, she chose to nitpick and
find excuses, ultimately aiming to reject the ring.
Sophia understood and played along with her charade.
