No mainstream media dared to report on the matter, but everyone was eager to gossip and indulge in the drama.
The Grant Group had undergone a major reshuffling, with several branches losing their core management rights. Meanwhile,
others were waiting for an opportunity to sabotage and take advantage of the situation. Numerous rumors had already begun
circulating.
“I raised you with so much difficulty, and now you’ve finally become successful. You suddenly want to cut ties with me? I only
have you, how will I live without you?” Iris sat on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, with tears streaming down her face.
Many netizens, who had been shocked by the previous revelations, now realized that the employee they had mercilessly
criticized was actually Ellison’s wife–his low–key secret marriage had been kept hidden.
To add to the shock, she was also the youngest daughter of the Schultz family, one of the richest families overseas.
Outside the lively and bustling gates of the Grant Group, security was tightly controlling the situation.
Selene, furious and holding her phone, stormed out and stood behind the security guards, angrily pointing at Iris, who was still
crying, and shouted, “Mrs. Mercer, you were the one who pressured her to marry an old man for a large dowry, and then you
cyberbullied her multiple times. Now, you’re pretending to be pitiful for sympathy?
“You didn’t want her to get the relocation funds, and now you’re here, pretending to care. I also heard your husband’s brother
was the one who caused Mr. Grant’s car accident a few weeks ago, leaving him in a coma for 20 days! You’re just after her
money now that she’s in a better position. I raised her for so many years, and even if she made mistakes, I’m her mother, and no
one can deny that!”
Iris, wiping her tears, retorted, “Every family has its own problems. Which parent and child don’t have some conflict? You argue
with your mother sometimes, but does that mean you won’t speak to her again for the rest of your life?”

Before she could say anything more, the crowd parted as bodyguards created a path. Timothy and Jeff stepped out of a black
luxury car.
The moment they appeared, they immediately attracted everyone’s attention. People gasped at their extraordinary good looks.

In the crowd, Octavia couldn’t take her eyes off them.
But her sharp gaze quickly shifted to Jeff’s hand, where a wedding ring was clearly visible. She then turned her attention to
Timothy.
“Mrs. Mercer, we need to talk,” Timothy said, looking down at Iris, who was sitting on the floor.
“Who are you?” Iris asked, still in disbelief.
“I am Joycelyn’s older brother, Timothy,” he replied coolly.
At the mention of Timothy’s name, Iris stopped crying and looked up at him with disbelief, her red eyes wide. She was stunned
by how young, handsome, and charismatic he looked.
Before she could regain her composure, Octavia immediately parted the crowd and approached Iris. She helped her to her feet,
saying, “Mom, this is Joycelyn’s real brother. Let’s talk to him properly.”
Octavia smiled sweetly at Timothy as she held Iris. “Joycelyn is my sister, and since you’re her brother, that make older brother
too. Hello, I’m Octavia,” she said, extending her hand.

Timothy ignored Octavia’s enthusiastic gesture and nodded briefly. He turned and walked toward the Grant Group’s reception
room.

Selene, watching this, scoffed and muttered, “How shameless”
As Selene finished her remarks, she quickly reported the situation to Joycelyn.

Joycelyn, having watched the live broadcast, knew Timothy had arrived. She had asked him earlier, but he hadn’t given at clear
response about how things would unfold,
“Should I go over?” Joycelyn asked, her voice filled with concern.
“No need,” Ellison reassured her. “Just keep watching the live feed. If you think something’s off, we can call Timothy.”
“Alright.” Joycelyn sighed with relief.
Not long after, Sebastian and the Grant Group’s lawyers arrived.
Seeing the large number of people gathered, Iris and Octavia felt uneasy.
“Timothy, where is Joycelyn? Why hasn’t she come?” Octavia asked, her voice tinged with impatience.
The room was filled with strikingly handsome and well–dressed men, all of whom exuded an air of nobility and status.
If she had known about Joycelyn’s exceptional background earlier, she would have treated her much better and avoided all this
drama. Otherwise, she could have benefited from the high society lifestyle too.
But when she thought about how Joycelyn had hidden her marriage to Ellison, Octavia felt nothing but regret and anger.
Joycelyn had been playing everyone, climbing the social ladder, then discarded them when she reached the top, leaving them
behind while she enjoyed all the wealth and luxury.
“Joycelyn was taking care of Ellison recently and is resting,” Timothy explained, sitting on the main seat of the sofa with a cold
gaze fixed on Iris and Octavia.
“Mrs. Mercer, how did you and Mr. Maynard adopt Joycelyn? Do you have legal adoption papers?” Sebastian asked, cutting
straight to the point without any pleasantries.
When Octavia heard this, she stared at Sebastian, her face filled with disbelief. “Are you also her brother?”
“Yes,” Sebastian answered calmly.

Octavia was filled with envy. The men before her were more handsome and elegant than any rich heirs she had met before. If
she had married any of them, she would have moved up the social ladder instantly.
Now, she regretted everything.
“Mrs. Mercer, please answer my question,” Sebastian urged again.
Iris, her expression growing tense, struggled to respond.
