Chapter 182
Chapter 182
Bianca’s POV
I sat back in the plush leather chair, a glass of red wine swirling lazily between my fingers. My gaze was fixed out the large
window, the view of the city stretching below. Lights flickered in the distance, the hum of the streets drifting up, but my mind was
far from the noise of the world. The world that didn’tven know I was pulling strings behind the scenes.
But Alex... Christiana... now that was a different story.
The mess they were in? The whole kidnapping ordeal, the lies, the betrayal? Oh, I couldn’t help but smile to myself. Daniel
Brooks had finally been caught. Finally. The bastard. He’d made such a mess of things, hadn’t he? I always knew he wasn’t as
clever as he thought he was, and it was nice to see him locked away, finally reaping what he’d sown. But let’s be honest: I was
more entertained by the ripple effect it would cause than by the fact that he was now behind bars.
Daniel had thought he was some kind of hero, swooping in to save Christiana and the kids, trying to play the knight in shining
armor. What an idiot. He had no idea how deep he was in, or how much worse it was going to get. But it didn’t matter now. The
damage was done, and he was in jail, but that didn’t mean the storm was over. No, this was just the beginning.
I had nothing to do with it. Nothing to do with the kidnapping or the chaos that had followed. But that was the beauty of it. While
they were all getting tangled in their web of guilt and confusion, I had been sitting back, watching from the sidelines. And that
suited me just fine.
You see, while Alex and Christiana thought they were going to finally find some peace after everything that had happened, I
knew better. They had no idea what was coming next.
The truth was, I didn’t need to be involved to enjoy watching their world crumble. I knew I wasn’t going to get Alex back.
Christiana had him now, completely. I had tried for so long to claw my way back into his life, but the fire at Christiana’s apartment,
the kidnapping, the lies–it had all gone too far. Alex had made it clear that I was the monster in his life. “You’ll never have me
monster, after all.
He couldn’t forgive me for what I’d done. Not after everything. Not after the fire, not after I kidnapped Christiana. Hell, he had
thrown me into jail and made it clear he never wanted to see me again. And Christiana? She had him.
That was something I could never change. Christiana had taken what I wanted, what I deserved. I was never going to be in
Alex’s life again.
But Daniel... Daniel had made one hell of a mess. And that was where I came in.
I took another long sip from my glass, the bitterness of the wine matching the bitterness in my chest. Daniel was the fool who
had set this whole thing in motion, but the aftermath was something I had a front–row seat to. He thought he could fix everything
by kidnapping the kids and trying to save Christiana from whatever mess he’d created in his own mind, but now he was locked
up. He wasn’t the hero he thought he was. And all the while, Christiana was going to have to pick up the pieces.
I wasn’t involved in the chaos. That’s the part I loved. I didn’t need to be. I didn’t need to get my hands dirty. I knew everything
there was to know about Alex, Christiana, and their kids–thanks to my sources. I had eyes everywhere. Everyone talked.
Everyone had something to say. And I made sure to listen. It was how I stayed in the loop, how I stayed above it all.
Alex was broken. His heart had been torn to pieces by what happened to Christiana and the kids. And Christiana? She would
never see it coming. They were probably sitting in their little bubble of happiness, acting like everything was okay. Like they had
everything under control. But the truth? The truth was, it was all going to fall apart. And that was what kept me awake at night
with a grin on my face.
I pulled out another message. This one from my lawyer. “Update on the situation. Things are moving faster than expected. The
truth about Alex’s mother is about to come out. Keep an eye on her. She may be the next one to crack.”

Chapter 182
I narrowed my eyes at the phone, a sense of anticipation building in my chest. Alex’s mother? Now that was something I hadn’t
anticipated. What could she be hiding? What role had she played in all of this?
I set the phone down, my fingers tapping rhythmically on the desk. This was just the beginning. I had a seat at the table, and
soon enough, I would be the one pulling the strings. Everyone had their weaknesses, and I knew how to exploit them. I didn’t
need to be in the middle of the chaos to make it my own
The kids were safe, but Alex and Christiana? They would fall. I was patient. And when everything came crashing down, I would
be there, ready to pick up the pieces.

I smiled, sipping my wine, knowing I had all the time in the world.
I leaned back in the chair, watching the city lights flicker in the distance, my mind racing through possibilities. Alex and Christiana
were living in their little fantasy world, thinking they had survived the worst. But I knew better. People like them didn’t survive long
without paying for their sins.
The truth was, I had a plan–one that would break them both down, piece by piece. I wasn’t just going to sit back and let them live
happily ever after. No, they needed to feel the weight of their decisions, the consequences of everything they’d done. And that’s
where I came in.
I knew Alex would never come back to me, not after everything d done. But that didn’t mean I couldn’t make sure his life wasn’t
easy, Christiana? She would always be a thorn in my side. I wasn’t just going to let her have everything without a fight.
my mind. She was the key I stood, pacing slowly across the room. The message from my lawyer about Alex’s mother stuck in to
it all I would find out everything about her, every secret she’d been hiding. Then, I’d use it to turn the tables. No one ever got
away from me. Not Alex. Not Christiana. And certainly not their precious little family.
