After work, Ashley bought groceries and plants. After dinner, she looked at the upcoming Tech Expo and called
someone.“Reserve a ticket for me.”
A cold voice rang out.“Are you sure? You said that twice before, and you didn’t go. Many people want that ticket.”

It was a major event; tickets were scarce. They had several tickets, and they were precious. “If I can’t make it, I won’t ask again,”
she said firmly.
He hung up. She smiled. She wanted to return to her career. As a founding partner, her choice of family disrupted their plans,
causing them to miss opportunities. They were angry and disappointed, and contact had dwindled. She wanted to return, but
she’d been away too long. She would research the industry before making plans.
For days, Ashley focused on her work and personal affairs. She didn’t contact Sam or Chase, and neither did they call her. She
wasn’t surprised; it had become one–sided months ago.
Sam had a routine of calling Tanya every morning. This morning, he called her, and then burst
into tears.
“Daddy, Aunt Tanya is going back to China, do you know?”
Chase, who was reviewing documents, said, “Yes.”
“Since when did you know?”
“It’s been a while.”
“You... why didn’t you...” Sam cried.“Why didn’t you tell me? I’ll miss her! I don’t want to stay here! I’m going back to China too!”
Chase said calmly, “We are. Next week.”
“What... what do you mean?”
“We’re going home next week.”
