Hearing the noise, Suzy quickly strode toward the room.
Seeing this, Helena immediately got up from the couch. "What are you doing?"
Suzy ignored her and moved even faster.
"Suzy, what exactly are you trying to do?" Helena's voice now carried a distinct edge of anger.
"Do you even understand that this is trespassing? Our laws may be different from yours, but that doesn't mean you can just do
whatever you want!"
"I just heard something coming from your room and thought someone might be trying to harm you. Why are you so nervous?"
Suzy turned back with a cold smile. "Unless, of course, you've got something or someone to hide in there?"
She deliberately paused, her smirk deepening. "Am I wrong?"
"Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with you!"
Helena's fury flared as she snapped, "You were just leaving, weren't you? Then get out. You're not welcome here!"
"True, it's not my business. But you are my sister-in-law's sister. If something happens to you, Evangeline will be worried," Suzy
said calmly.
"I'm not here for you I'm here for her."
Helena let out a bitter laugh.

"Evangeline? Worried about me? That's the funniest thing I've heard all day!
"Let's be real—nothing's wrong with me, and even if there were, she wouldn't care. Her so-called kindness is nothing but an act.
You don't know her at all."
Suzy frowned. "From the way you're talking, it sounds like you have a serious problem with her. I thought you two had already
made peace?"
At least, that was how things had been when she last left Xandria.

But judging by Helena's tone, something must have happened since then.
"Made peace?" Helena's laugh turned even more mocking.
"That was just me being stupid.
"Evangeline said she wanted to return the throne to me, but do you know what she actually did?
"She had her ministers go against me at every turn-saying I was incompetent, unfit to lead. She sent people to stir up trouble in
the regions under my control, making sure the entire country gradually turned against me.
"But the funny thing is... I never even wanted the throne back.
"I don't care whether she returns it or not. Like you said before, she's clearly more
capable at running a country than I ever was."

Suzy didn't believe a word of it.
