After several days of investigation, Evangeline's men still hadn't found conclusive evidence on whether Helena was truly the
head of the mysterious organization.

"Although we can't confirm if she's the leader yet, the people tailing her reported that her behavior has been very suspicious
lately."
Evangeline handed Suzy a few photos.
"Look at these. Whenever she does go out, she covers herself up completely, as if she doesn't want to be seen."
Suzy studied the photos, falling into deep thought.
"Maybe if I go in person, I'll be able to find something useful."
"No, you can't go!" Evangeline immediately stopped her.
"Even if we don't have solid proof that Helena is the head of that organization, you already said she's definitely connected to
them.
"It's too dangerous for you to go alone. If anyone goes, it should be me!"
"You?"
"Yes, me!" Evangeline said firmly.

"I'm the leader of Xandria. If I show up openly, I doubt she'd dare do anything to me."
"She may not harm you directly, but that doesn't mean you should go either!"
Suzy refused to let Evangeline take the risk for her.
"You're pregnant. If she decides to turn against you, you'll be in danger. So, no matter what, you are not going!"
As they were discussing, Simon suddenly walked in.

"What are you two whispering about?" He eyed them suspiciously.
"I also heard something about going somewhere-where exactly are you planning to go?"
For the past few days, Simon had noticed Suzy and Evangeline frequently whispering behind his back.
He had asked Evangeline before, but she simply brushed it off, saying it was a secret between women.
But his instincts told him there was more to it than that.
Suzy exchanged a glance with Evangeline before replying smoothly, "We were just planning to go shopping. Evangeline wanted
me to go with her to a maternity store to start preparing for the baby.
"But I told her it would be more meaningful if you, as her husband, went with her instead."
Simon immediately agreed with Suzy's reasoning.
"Exactly! I'm the father. If we're buying things for the baby, of course, I should be the one going with her!
"But wait... didn't you say you were at a maternity store the other day when I couldn't reach you?
"Why do you need to go again?"
In the past two days, when
explaining what had happened, they told Simon that after finishing her

errands, Evangeline had stopped by a maternity store on a whim
The reason she hadn't answered her phone was that it had run out of battery.
Hearing Simon's question now, Evangeline glanced at Suzy with a bit of panic.
Suzy, however, gave her a reassuring look before stepping forward.
"There are so many maternity stores. Just because you've been to one doesn't mean you won't visit another! Honestly, men will

understand the joys of

shopping."

She smirked and continued, "Especially moms-to-be. Their favorite pastime is browsing maternity shops. Now stop overthinking
it and go with her already!"
Evangeline knew Suzy was saying this to keep her out of the situation with Helena.
She pulled Suzy aside and whispered, "If you insist on going, at least take more people with you. Make it a big scene."
Suzy understood what she meant.
"Don't worry. I'll go under the pretense of a friendly visit, making it public. She shouldn't dare try anything."
They told Simon nothing about Helena, and they also kept Dylan in the dark.
So, when Dylan heard that Suzy was heading out again, he didn't know what she was up to, but he was still worried.
"I don't care what you're going to do—I'm coming with you this time."
"What for? I'm not a child!" Suzy refused outright.
"Relax, this has nothing to do with that situation."
She paused, then added, "You remember Helena, right? We have some history.
It's been a while since I last saw her, so I thought I'd pay her a visit."
