Chapter 520
Zander and Ines emerged from the break room to find a dreamlike stage set up in the grand hall. The central screen displayed photos of their
wedding, family portraits, and random candid shots from over the years. Each image was accompanied by a brief description. Ines knew they were
penned by none other than Ethan, the man with a memory for beautiful moments.
The guests had already taken their seats and Ethan was standing on the stage. His gaze was brimming with warmth as he watched Ines and Zander.
There was a palpable sense of joy and anticipation in the air, for they had finally found each other.
“Are you ready, Izzy?” Zander asked softly.
Ines nodded. She had expected to be nervous, but the sight of Ethan melted away any anxiety. The wedding march began to play, and Zander led
The walk down the aisle wasn’t long, but with every step, her emotions seemed to fluctuate. By the time Ethan took her hand, she felt an
overwhelming surge of emotion.
What followed was a series of traditional rituals.
“Mr. Meyer, do you take Ms. Ines to be your wife? Will you love her, respect her, and protect her in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, till
death do you part?” The officiant asked.
Ethan stared deeply into Ines’ eyes, a sight that moved all the guests. “I do. I will love her even more than I love myself,” he pledged.
Before the officiant could continue, Ines spoke up, surprising even herself. “I, Ines, take Ethan to be my husband. No matter what hardships we face, I
vow to stand by his side until the end of my days. Even if I were to leave this world before him, I would always be with him.”
The officiant, a well-known TV host, had presided over many weddings but had never come across a bride as active as Ines. She quickly regained
her composure. “It seems our lovely bride thinks I talk too much, so let’s speed things up,” she said, eliciting laughter from the guests.
The ceremony continued with the ring exchange. The little Olivine and Oliverio were carried onstage. Ines was surprised to see them there, but Ethan
explained that they were part of the ceremony. The children couldn’t quite stand on their own yet, but they looked steady and sure.
Olivine and Oliverio held out ring boxes to their parents and said, “Mama, love... you, come,” and “Dada, mama, come,” respectively, blowing kisses
to the audience.
Ines was moved to tears. She bent down to kiss each child and thanked them for their gift. The sound of their laughter filled the hall, creating a
moment that the guests would remember for years to come.
Ethan and Ines walked hand in hand towards the children. Their eyes were moist with emotion. As Ines reached the children, she realized that the
little babies weren’t standing on their own. Each child had a steady hand supporting their back, which was a sight that brought smiles to her face.
“Alright, let’s give a warm round of applause to our two little cuties who have shown such thoughtfulness at such a young age. Now, we come to the
most important part of the ceremony, the exchange of vows between the bride and groom.”
Ines hesitated, feeling suddenly awkward. She began to regret her impulsive action just now. She had already said her piece and now she was at a
loss for what else to say.
