Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts

Chapter 515

Ines had been staying at the Galeana residence for a few days now, with Ethan dropping by daily and only leaving when it was time for bed. A week
was indeed a short span of time. Before they knew it, the eve of their wedding had arrived.
Initially, Ines wasn't nervous. However, the festive atmosphere at the Galeana household, with lights and decorations everywhere, stirred in her an
unexpected jittery feeling. The realization that tomorrow would be her and Ethan's big day sent her emotions into a whirlwind.
Ashley and Phoebe, her bridesmaids, also showed up at the Galeana residence just in time. It was customary for bridesmaids to stay over at the
bride's place the night before the wedding and then leave with her the following day.
Currently, they were huddled together with Emma, discussing how they would playfully torment the groom tomorrow. Listening to their mischievous
plans, Ines couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Ethan. He was in for a tough time tomorrow.
Knowing they would have to wake up early, everyone decided to turn in early.
Ines' room was mostly untouched, except for a king-sized bed replacing the old one, accommodating the four slender women comfortably.
At the moment, only the dim bedside lamp was on, providing enough light for any late-night movements.
Ines lay in bed. Her left hand was clutching her right. Her eyes were wide open. She was trying to tire herself out by keeping her eyes open so that
she could fall asleep and wake up fresh, ready to be the most beautiful bride for Ethan. But the more she tried to sleep, the more elusive it became.
Her heart pounded louder with each passing moment.
Emma, lying next to Ines, sensed her rapid heartbeat. "Ines, are you nervous? You're so stiff, and your heart is racing."

"Emma, it's obvious. Didn't you see her trembling at dinner?" Phoebe, ever the tease, couldn't resist the opportunity to poke fun at Ines.
Ines shot Phoebe a look. "Phoebe, enough. Your time will come too, and I'll be there to tease you. It's natural for me to be nervous."
Phoebe raised her hands defensively. "Hey, it was your dear sister Emma who pointed it out, not me."
Emma cut in, unaware, "I didn't notice Ines' hands shaking. You and Ethan have been married for two years now. You're a married couple. Why would
you be nervous?"
Phoebe responded, "Emma, every woman dreams of getting married to the man she loves in a beautiful wedding dress. It's not about the amount of
time that has passed; it's about fulfilling a dream."
"In the dark, Emma's eyes darken, thinking about her own wedding. It was a wedding that her father didn't like. Only she and her mother were happy.
She was also excited at first, but she found out that Aiden had been drinking all night. She always lived in fear of Aiden running away from the

wedding, and there wasn't much happiness to talk about. Looking back now, she felt that she was really stupid at the beginning. She should have
stopped such a marriage then, not insisting on going on, "I wasn't nervous about being happy when I got married, but fearful." Seeing that Ines had
so many people around her, Emma really envied her, but Emma no longer had the jealousy she had at the beginning.
Ines listened to her words, and her heart was a little bit sour. She searched for Emma's hand before tightly grasing it, "Emma, you will meet someone
who really cherishes you in the future."
"Okay, let's not talk about these on the day of the celebration. I think my daughter will definitely protect me in the future. I'm not afraid of anything with
my daughter. It doesn't matter whether there is a man."
"Useless, skulking about relying on your daughter for protection." Phoebe's relationship with Emma was much better, so she didn't care too much
when she spoke.

"This shows that I have a good daughter, and other people can't even envy."
"A daughter, huh? I think I will definitely have a daughter, maybe better than your Jasmine."
"No, I think my Jasmine is the smartest. I wish you will have two sons in the future, and then both will fall under my Jasmine's pomegranate skirt."
In the future, Phoebe frequently scolded Emma for being a jinx, saying that she was more accurate than the fortune-teller.
"No, my son must find someone younger than him, so that he can feel needed in the future. Your Jasmine will definitely be a strong woman in the
future. Not good."
Ashley had been messaging with Aaron, not participating in their chat topics. She kept smiling, completely a little woman immersed in happiness. She
was now used to teasing Aaron before going to bed. After teasing him, she put down the phone, just listening to Phoebe and Emma's conversation.
She couldn't help laughing. "Phoebe, Emma, you two are nearly 30-year-old women. Why are you still talking so immaturely? Why argue over these
things when nothing has been settled yet?"
"Ashley, can we still have a happy chat?" Phoebe dissatisfied. This girl always speaks so sharply. It’s no fun at all.
Ashley blinked, "Phoebe, actually my words are not finished. What I want to say is that I will have a daughter in the future and want to hook up with
your little son."
Phoebe smashed a pillow directly at Ashley, "Shameless, haven't even graduated from college, already thinking about having a daughter."
"There's no way, my Aaron is really too old, he's soon to be a 40-year-old man, I have to consider for him." Ashley said disgustingly.

Ines found herself chuckling at their banter, surprisingly feeling less tense than before. Suddenly, Phoebe realized a dilemma. With Ines getting
married, who would be her bridesmaid? They had made a pact in their childhood to be each other's bridesmaids. But according to the old-school
beliefs in their hometown, a married woman couldn't be a bridesmaid. It was considered bad luck and could bring misfortune.
"So Izzy, you're beating me to the punch, huh? Who's going to be my bridesmaid when it's my turn to walk down the aisle?"
"I'd love to stand up for you, sweetie, but I can't," Ines responded.
"Phoebe, you better hope I'm the last one to get hitched. Then I can perform my bridesmaid duties as your charming and clever sidekick. But you've
gotta get a move on, girl. Once I graduate, it won't be long before I'm tying the knot too." Ashley said.
