Awake for Love: My Coma Bridegroom

Chapter 630

A woman spends an entire day at a man’s house and insists it’s her private business, not to be revealed to anyone. Could their relationship be
anything but complicated? From Elijah’s perspective, their relationship was not just complicated; it was intriguing!
“I understand.” His voice rang out, devoid of any emotional fluctuations. Was it indifference? No, it was helplessness.
Violette was intending to spend the entire day at another man’s house without giving him any explanation. What could he do about it? Could he pry
her mouth open? Even if he could, she wouldn’t spill a word.
At the hospital, police presented evidence of Violette’s absence during the incident to Sarah.
Sarah flatly refused to believe it. “I’m blind now. I can’t see anything. You can’t just tell me anything and expect me to believe it... I don’t trust you!”
Sarah exclaimed emotionally.
“Ms. Sarah, you can have a relative come and review the evidence,” the officer suggested, looking towards Kaleb. “Are you her relative?”
Kaleb promptly responded, “Officer, I trust the police investigation.”

Sarah yelled, “He’s not my relative. Officer! He is not!”
In her heart, Sarah was very sure about her guess. The ones who blinded her were not just Violette, but also Kaleb! Without Kaleb’s help, how could
Violette succeed so easily?
However, she dared not reveal Kaleb’s name. She could end her own life, but her father was still alive. What if Kaleb, that despicable man, caused
trouble for her father?
“Officer, I am Sarah’s father. Please show me the evidence.” Mr. Warren, looking haggard, approached the policeman.
“Sure.” The officer replied, “The complete evidence is at the station. Why don’t you come with me to review it?”
“Alright.” Mr. Warren certainly believed his daughter, but since the police were insisting it wasn’t Violette, he needed to see the evidence for himself.
Back at Silverleaf Ridge.
After a morning of running around, Violette returned home. She had a fever the previous night. Although the fever had subsided, she was still feeling
very weak and lacked energy. Upon arriving home at noon, she went straight to her room and lay down.
Mike opened her bedroom door, and said, “I made some soup. Want some? Adrian said you haven’t eaten anything since morning. Don’t starve
yourself.”

She muttered a response and then asked hoarsely, “Did Adrian leave?”
“He left right after dropping you off. He asked me to take care of you today.” Mike sat down next to the bed with the soup. “Violette, when I came
home last night, the front door was wide open and you were just lying there on the couch...”
She covered her mouth with a hand and started coughing.
“You spent the morning gathering evidence to clear your name. Did someone come by last night to talk about Sarah?” Mike put down the soup and
started patting her back.
She pushed his hand away. “It’s not because I choked. It’s because I am sick and my throat is uncomfortable.”
“Oh, then have some soup.” He handed her the bowl of soup. “Adrian said you can take some medicine since you’re feeling unwell. It won’t affect the
baby.”
“Hmm.” She took a sip of the soup, and then answered Mike’s earlier question, “I wanted to close the door before I fell asleep on the couch last night,
but I was too tired to get up.”
