Ava was shocked, angry, and in disbelief. She had no idea that Mariel's mother would be so unreasonable.
Reese's lips were quivering with anger!
Her eyes were so red that she was staring at Evelyn and her hands were clenched tightly together. If the lady in front of her
hadn't been Mariel's mother, she would have done something about it for sure.
And when Evelyn thought about how this girl had led her daughter to ruin, she became so angry that she wanted to use the
nastiest words against Reese.
She glared at Reese and said, "What are you staring at? Did I say something wrong? A girl like you, who is fickle and immoral,
who has no manners and no culture, why should I not criticize you?"
Mariel was so angry that she felt as if her lungs were about to explode. She got out of bed and went to grab Evelyn's arm.
Evelyn was about to get carried away with her scolding when all of a sudden the door to the hospital room was kicked open.
Lukas walked into the hospital room with a stern expression on his face and a look as if he was about to kill someone.
Oliver followed his father to take care of business. Lukas might not know him, but he knew Lukas Strakovski.
But Mr. Strakovski didn't even look at Oliver. He walked over and stood in front of Reese. With an absolutely protective attitude,
he shielded Reese behind him and stared at Evelyn with a dark look. "Fickle and immoral?"
Evelyn was startled to see Lukas standing there and stepped back.
Lukas took a step forward with a scowl on his face. "Sharp-tongued and shameless?"
Evelyn stammered and looked at Lukas, "I...I..."
Lukas took another step forward, his eyes looking as if he wanted to kill someone, "Lacking culture and morals?"
Evelyn was startled for a moment by Lukas' momentum and felt a little weak. "Who are you and what do you want?"
Lukas' eyes narrowed dangerously as if an evil tiger was about to jump out of the mountain and tear Evelyn to pieces at any
moment. He did not answer Evelyn's question, instead, he lowered his voice, his tone was calm and terrifying, "Lacking in
manners? Are you talking about my wife?"
Evelyn sat down on the hospital bed, her voice shaking, her mind unable to process what had just happened. "Who... who are
you and who is your wife?"
As soon as Lukas walked through the door, his aura was so shocking that it took a while for everyone to react to it.

Mariel snapped out of her daze, and as she thought about her mother's behavior just then, she became a little frightened. She
knew a thing or two about what Lukas would do to anyone who dared to hurt or humiliate Reese.
She wasn't one to choose family over what was right, and she had no intention of failing to defend Reese Roberts However,
because of her mother's thoughtless words, she was afraid that Lukas might actually have had revenge on her mother in mind!
She quickly said, "Mr. Strakovski, please don't be angry. This is my mother..."
Lukas' gaze suddenly turned to her, cold and piercing. He was extremely uncompromising as he spoke, "Did I ask you?"
If it hadn't been for Reese, he wouldn't have dared to face Mariel.
But because of Mariel's mother, Reese suffered such injustice. Lukas couldn't be
a part of her suffering, especially when he could see and hear someone unjustly humiliating her.
Evelyn was also stunned. She did not know Lukas.
