A Perfect Lie Hides Behind My Billionaire Marriage (reese and hudson)

Chapter 487

No one else had had the courage to delve so deeply into the mystery.
With a sudden spark of interest, Rose decided to consult an experienced private investigator with a reputation in the business.
What she discovered sent shockwaves through her. Not only had Reese and Lukas received the marriage certificate, but Lukas
had also been on a blind date with Rona. What Rose couldn't have predicted was the revelation that Lukas was the second
young master in the prestigious Van Eimeren family.
With this newly discovered information, it suddenly made sense as to why people had treated Lukas with such awe and respect.
Rose couldn't bring herself to let go. After all, this was a great opportunity and one she couldn't afford to let pass her by.
However, Rose was no fool; she knew that the enemy of her enemy could become an ally. Since Rona had gone on a blind date
with Lukas, it was unlikely that she would be too fond of Reese. While Rose had a plan in place for dealing with Reese, she also
saw the potential benefits of Rona stirring up the already troubled waters.
As Rose shared her thoughts with Rona, there was a change in Rona's expression. "Rose, let me return the favor by giving you

some advice. Don't let your imagination run wild, my dear. Do you, a humble girl from a rural background, think you can stand on
the same level as someone like me, an affluent A-list celebrity? It's almost laughable, don't you think?"
Rose remained unperturbed by Rona's words, maintaining an innocent expression. "Oh, Ms. Young, I'm not challenging you. I'm
just stating the facts."
Based on her investigation, Rose knew that Rona did not know about Reese and Lukas' marriage certificate. What she didn't
know was how that piece of information could be so upsetting to someone as self-confident and wealthy as Rona.
Rona had no patience for Rose's pretense of being vulnerable. Even though there had been rumors about Rose's involvement
with Lukas, she hadn't taken them too seriously. As for Lukas, well, she had a soft spot for him.
However, Lukas was Emily's ex-boyfriend, and Emily was Rona's best friend. Rose was unaware of the complex dynamics at
play. Rona had too much on her plate to act in a reckless manner.
And so, in spite of her dislike for Reese, Rona had refrained from doing anything too drastic.
With a disdainful look at Rose, Rona turned to leave. But Rose's soft voice stopped her. "Ms. Young, don't leave so quickly. I
haven't finished talking yet. Even though Mr. Strakovski has been a disappointment to you in the past, I understand that your
feelings for him are genuine. However, what you may not be aware of is that Reese and Mr. Strakovski have already tied the

knot. He now has a family that may be beyond your imagination. In the cut-throat world of the entertainment industry, being
labeled a "home-wrecker" can be a career-ending move."
Rona was about to leave, but Rose's words stopped her in her tracks. She turned around to face Rose again, her face contorted
with anger. "What did you say? Lukas and Reese are married?"
Rona had previously thought that Reese was just Lukas' current partner. However, she hadn't been able to forget the humiliation
that she had suffered at the charity dinner and the inexplicable favor that Lukas had shown Reese. She had suspected that
Reese held a special place in Lucas' heart, but now it seemed to be even deeper - they were married!
She couldn't help but wonder if Emily was aware of this. Until now, Emily had kept her feelings for Lukas to herself. But with them
having recently broken up, she couldn't help but wonder if Emily had pushed her to confront Reese for a reason. If Emily didn't
know about Lukas and Reese getting married, it would be absolutely devastating.
These thoughts darkened Rona's expression.
Rose continued to speak, her voice tinged with sympathy, "Ms. Young, I heard about your blind date with Mr. Strakovski. It must
have come as a shock to you. You may not have realized that the Strakovski family is not completely happy with Reese as their
daughter-in-law, so they arranged a blind date for him with you." Feeling like a pawn in someone else's game, Rona was now
seething with anger. She glared at Rose with a mixture of resentment and determination, her eyes narrowing. "Don't think for a
second that I don't see through your intentions. Walk away and don't try to manipulate me. Using my emotions to achieve your
goals? You're smart, but you're also young!"
