She had initially planned on telling Benjamin that she didn’t want to attend the reception for the Mendosa couple tonight because
she couldn’t bear seeing Samuel. But now, at this moment, she didn’t feel like saying anything at all.
Amidst the chaos of the airport, Samuel’s tall frame caught the attention of many.
His striking appearance and elegant demeanor made him stand out from the crowd. Women’s eyes followed him, but his
entourage of bodyguards kept them at a distance. With his air of refinement, he seemed almost regal as he walked through the
bustling terminal.
The Mendosa couple emerged from the exit, and Samuel greeted them. Zarah immediately asked, “Where’s your fiancée Why
isn’t she here?”
David seemed let down by Shirley’s absence. “Didn’t she know we were coming to Elderstone today?”

Shirley had promised to personally welcome the couple at the airport for their next visit. Little did they know Samuel and Shirley
had already ended their relationship and had no communication.
Instead of immediately giving an explanation, Samuel smiled kindly and suggested, “It’s quite loud here Shall we continue this
conversation once we’re in the car?”
During the car ride, Samuell smoothly transitioned into discussing work–related matters. However, when they arrived at the hotel

and settled into their private dining room, the dynamic shifted.
Zarah brought up Shirley once more and asked, “Mr. Moore, what has Shirley been occupied with lately? My husband and I will
be staying in Elderstone for a few days and we would love to see her again.”
Shirley had made a lasting impression on the Mendosa couple during their previous encount
encounters, and they both held her in high regard.
A hint of sadness passed over Samuel’s face. He paused for a moment before telling the two, “Her father was in a car accident
recently and is still unconscious. I’ll try to arrange a meeting with her tonight, but there’s no guarantee she will show up.”

Zarah paused, sensing that something was amiss. She turned to samuel, her brows knitted together as she asked, “He

“Why? weren’t you two planning to get married?”
Zarah was extremely shocked and found it hard to believe. “Didn’t you love each other deeply? Why did you break up?”
David was also very disappointed and sighed. “No wonder we didn’t see her. So, you two actually.
The Mendosa couple couldn’t help but reminisce about the interactions between Samuel and Shirley in Amland. Their bond was
so harmonious and affectionate. Their relationship seemed to have been nurtured over a long period of time, not just a few days.

Shirley’s gare toward Samuel was filled with adoration and tenderness, as if her feelings for him were etched onto her face
