A deal with the devil

Chapter 131

Chapter 131
The two men rolled down their car windows almost simultaneously, the exuded an icy, noble anca, while the other radiated a
refined but distant warmth.
Their cold pazes clashed in mid–air, sending a freezing chill into the atmosphere,
Benjamin’s face was stem, his eyes sharp as blades, and his voice carried a warning. “Know your limits. If there’s a next tiine,
you’ll bear the consequencel”
Samuel held Benjamin’s gaze without thinching, his eyes tierce like lives, filled with bittemess and defiance, “Benjamin, you
shouldn’t have gotten involved with
Benjamin’s imposing presence was like that of a crouching tiger. Even in stillness, he cauded a silent but undeniable threat.
“Remember this. She is my woman now. Unless I let her go, no one else should even think about her.”
Under Samuel’s cold, resentful stare, Benjamin slowly rolled up his window. The car soon disappeared from sight.
Shirley’s phone call rang for a long time before it was finally answered, just as the last tone was about to end. “Where are you?”

Her voice was filled with urgency
Benjamin’s calm reply came through the line. “I’m right behind you.”
Shirley immediately tumed around and sported the familiar car behind her. Three seconds later, Benjamin’s vehicle reappeared
in her line of sight.
A heavy sigh of relief escaped her lips as the disappointment in her heart began to dissolve. For a moment, she had thought he
had left midway for something more important.
She had no idea that just moments ago, her “current” and her “ex” had faced off in a direct confrontation not far away.
The little one in the backseat immediately relaxed when he spotted Benjamin’s car.
At Tubo Impact

Charlie arrived at the racing team’s grounds early in the morning, only to find that Tomas had arrived even earlier. The two of
them sat together at the training track, gazing at the vast expanse of the practice field with nostalgic signs.
Their team had once shone brigaly, even more than the current powerhouse, the Juggernaut Racing Team. At their peak, they
had been a dominant force in the international racing scene.
Even at this point, across all of Elderstone, the Turbo Impact Racing Team still had the largest training field, positioned perfectly

between the Westzone Racetrack in the front and Tristan Circuit at the back.
However, all that remained was merely a shadow of their former glory. They had zo low–end race cars, about a dozen racers,
and only a few dozen trainees. Meanwhile, their longtime rivals, the juggernaut Racing Team, had become the cradle of top–tier
racers, celebrated by everyone in the industry.
Charlie patted Tomas hand reassuringly. “Things will get better.”
Tomas nodded solemnly. “I know. From the moment I saw her for the first time, I knew she was one we had been searching for.”
Charlie nodded and glanced at his watch. “It’s about time. She should be here soon. Let’s head outside and greet her.”
Just as Charlie helped Tomas to his feet, the sound of loud commotionempted from outside. Angry shouts and the clanging of
metal echoed through the air. Charlie frowned as he peered outside, his expression darkening with concern. “Something’s
wrong! Mr. Clarke, call the police. Quickdy!”
As soon as the words felt his mouth, a group of men wielding iron rods stored in.
“Who are you prople? What do you want?
Charlie immediately stepped in front of Tomas and confronted the intruders, only to receive a sharp kick to the stomach. He
stumbled backward and fell heavily to the ground
“Charlie!”
Tomas‘ face paled as he quickly retreated while tumbling for his phone to call for help.
The intruders were too fast. Before he could even dial the number, one of them snatched the phone from his hand. Fortunately,
they didn’t lay a hand on him. “Smash everything!”
