“Neil Loge? Who is that?”
Ariana looked at Selena in confusion.
The two of them were having lunch in the school cafeteria,
Selena, fiddling with her phone, replied, “Oh, he was our senior.”
As she spoke, Selena handed her phone to Ariana and continued, “Looks like he was the heir of the Loge family, but his family
no longer lives in Gleaston. His whole family was rumored to have moved abroad after his death.
“Right now, the forums are full of gossip about Evelyn. They say Evelyn, Neil, and Mr. Lodge grew up together. When Evelyn and

“They were supposed to get married because of the baby, but Neil got into a car accident and died unexpectedly. Not long after,

Selena added with a sigh, “This is the first time I feel like that scumbag Brian Lodge has some sort of moral compass. Too bad

it’s not much of one.
“But honestly, given Mr. Lodge’s influence, he had plenty of ways to protect Evelyn, but he didn’t take any action Otherwise, I bet
she still would have graduated without a litch”
Hearing this, Ariana fell silent for a moment.
That was true. If Brian had wanted to, not even William–on anyone more powerful–could have stopped him from protecting
Evelyn.
